Green Mountain Spinnery Trunk Show
The Green Mountain Spinnery Trunk Show just arrived in the shop and will be here on display until July 9th.  Stop by to see garments knitted with their patterns as well as their different yarns.  When Debbie Macomber, the novelist, stopped by this morning, she was so thrilled with the lace cardigan pattern (as well as some of our yarns and other patterns and the "Knitter's ...Travel Guide") that she bought the Green Mountain Spinnery Trunk Show pattern not long after we opened the box.

Blue Sky Alpaca Trunk Show
We all were thrilled to have the Blue Sky Alpaca Trunk Show visit the shop this spring.  This Trunk Show displayed several knitted (and crocheted) garments using yarn and patterns we carry.  If you missed the trunk show, you can still stop by the shop to purchase their patterns and yarn.

Penny Straker Trunk Show
The Penny Straker Trunk Show was at the shop February 10-22nd , and customers got to see 28 hand-knit garments which use the Penny Straker Knitting Patterns. These patterns are the benchmark of hand knitting patterns. Knitter-friendly, with clean graphics which include illustrations of techniques, they take the knitter one step at a time through each section of a garment. These patterns are the original "generic" knitting patterns, written for weights of yarn, not specific brands of yarn. Let these hand-knit garments, in a wide assortment of yarns, inspire you! Although the Trunk Show is now over, we carry the patterns. If a particular pattern is out-of-stock, it takes days for patterns to reach us.

Name the Ewe Contest. There's a new sheep in the pen in the shop. We had several customers suggest names for a female sheep; however, we now suspect that our sheep is not a female, but a male.    Even though the sex of this animal has not been determined, the winning female name is " Eweniece" which was suggested by several of our customers.  The first  customer to recommend "Eweniece" was Mary Novak.   Congratulations, Mary!  We may be soliciting a possible name for a male at a later date; although several customers are recommending male names just in case our "She" is a "He".  Stay tuned for further developments.

Think Outside The Sox Contest.  Our shop is a participant in this national contest.  Stop by for further information about this contest or check it out in the Spring 2008 "Knitter's" magazine which we carry or the web site:  http://ThinkOutsideTheSOX.com.  We hope the winner of this $6,000 prize is a customer of our shop.
